IPTV From Canada TV on a MAG box

A MAG box uses no username and no password. The box is known by its MAC address, so that is registered first, and the channel list appears once it is.

Step 1

Send us the MAC address

You will find it on the label under the box and in System Settings, written as 00:1A:79:XX:XX:XX. Message it to us before touching anything else; the portal stays empty until the address is on our side.

Step 2

Find the portal settings

  1. 1When the box has finished booting, open Settings, or press SETUP or SET on the remote.
  2. 2Go to System Settings, then Servers, then Portals.

Step 3

Type in the portal URL

  1. 1Portal 1 Name: any name you like.
  2. 2Portal 1 URL: paste the portal address we sent on WhatsApp.
  3. 3Press OK to save.

Step 4

Set the clock and restart the portal

  1. 1Back in System Settings, open the time or NTP section.
  2. 2Enter ca.pool.ntp.org, or pool.ntp.org from outside Canada.
  3. 3Leave the settings and choose Restart Portal.
NoteA MAG that has not been given a time server shows the channels but leaves the programme titles blank. The guide can only line up once the box knows the correct time.

The MAC comes first because MAG boxes activate by it. Formuler boxes do the same inside MYTV Online, and BuzzTV boxes have a portal screen that looks much the same. Read the channel list before you buy any box.
