IPTV From Canada TV on Roku

Roku's store is a closed one, so there are two ways in: a proper player from the Channel Store, or casting from a phone that shares the Roku's Wi-Fi.

Step 1

IBO Player Pro from the Channel Store

  1. 1In the Roku Channel Store, look up IBO Player Pro and add it to your Roku.
  2. 2Open it and go to Account. Note the MAC address and the Device Key on that screen.
  3. 3On a phone or computer, visit iboproapp.com, choose Manage Playlists and sign in with that MAC address and Device Key.
  4. 4Choose Add XC Playlist, give it a name, and type the server, username and password from our message.
  5. 5On the Roku, restart the app and choose the playlist you just added.
NoteThe app runs free for a week, then takes one payment on iboproapp.com against the same MAC address and Device Key. A year of it is included with the 12-month plan.

Step 2

Casting from a phone

  1. 1Install Web Video Cast on an Android or iOS phone.
  2. 2Open its menu, choose IPTV and add your playlist address.
  3. 3Tap the cast icon and pick the Roku. Both devices have to be on the same Wi-Fi.

On Roku, IBO Player Pro is the route and casting is the fallback. Samsung and LG TVs have more open stores, and a Firestick runs every player on this site, TiviMate included. Look at the channel list before you start.
